Our Story
We founded The AI Learning Academy in 2025 with a simple mission: to prepare the next generation for a future shaped by artificial intelligence. As parents ourselves, we understand both the excitement and the uncertainty that comes with raising children in a world changing faster than ever before. Everywhere we looked, we saw the same gap—between those who understand AI and those who don’t. Too many families feel left behind, unsure where to start or how to guide their kids. At the same time, schools are still catching up, leaving parents without trustworthy resources to build AI literacy at home.
That’s why we started The AI Learning Academy: to bridge the gap in AI skills for kids and teens. Our programs give students the tools to use AI responsibly, creatively, and ethically—so they grow into confident problem-solvers ready to thrive in an AI-led world.
Our background blends nearly two decades of experience in technology, corporate leadership, and education-focused volunteer work. Fernando brings expertise in innovation and strategy from Fortune 500 companies, while Paula draws from her background in social work and her passion for helping children grow in safe, supportive environments. Together, we share a long history of mentoring youth and supporting families in our community.
We’re not just business owners—we’re parents of a young child (Benji) who will soon be navigating these same challenges. We created the Academy because we wanted a trusted, ethics-first place where kids could learn AI skills without fear, confusion, or shortcuts.
At The AI Learning Academy, we believe AI should be a tool, not a crutch. With the right foundation, kids can use it to think critically, explore their creativity, and gain the competitive edge they’ll need in school, careers, and life.
